FSMA is a system that focuses on preventing food safety problems before they occur. This law offers FDA a high level of compliance with preventive and risk-based food safety standards and the chance to prevent and respond to problems. With this law, FDA aims to evaluate food products entering the country at the same standard as food products produced and distributed in the domestic market. Therefore, all food companies exporting to the United States are included in the evaluation.
