PAS 220:2008 FOOD STANDARD CERTIFICATE
ISO 22000 is a standard prepared by the world's largest food manufacturers in cooperation with the Confederation of Food and Drink Industries CIAA (The Confederation of Food and Drink Industries) to meet the needs seen as lacking in some subjects. The industry giants Nestle, Unilever, Danone and Kraft, known as G4 in the world, came together and published the PAS 220 (Publicly Available Specification) standard, which details the prerequisite programs (prerequisite programs) and can be applied to all types of companies in 2008.
The PAS 220:2008 standard is intended to be used together with the internationally accepted ISO 22000 standard. Organizations in the food chain can obtain the PAS 220 document. The PAS 220 standard has been prepared to support the ISO 22000 standard and its applications. Therefore, the PAS 220:2008 standard should be implemented in parallel with the ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System. The organization should first establish a food safety management system based on ISO 22000 and support the prerequisite programs defined in this system with the PAS 220:2008 standard.
