HOW TO REGISTER WITH FDA ?

Before discussing how FDA registration is done , we should state why FDA registration is necessary. According to the Bioterrorism Act, all US and foreign food companies that manufacture, produce, package or store animal and human food for consumption in the US must register with the FDA. Products imported from companies that do not register with the FDA will be detained at the US border gate and will not be allowed to enter the US.

The information required during registration is; the name, address, telephone number of the company (and parent company if applicable); the name, address and telephone number of the owner, company owner or authorized representative; all trade names used by the company; product categories subject to the process; a declaration by the person filling out the form that the information provided is true and correct; the name, address, telephone number of the US representative of foreign companies; and the telephone number of the US representative or another designated person to be reached in case of emergency. In addition to this mandatory information, other information may be provided optionally.

why is it necessary?

FDA is the bureau of the United States Department of Health responsible for food, dietary supplements, drugs, biological medical products, blood products, medical devices, radiation-emitting devices, veterinary devices and cosmetics. The abbreviation FDA stands for US Food and Drug Administration and can be expressed as "American Food and Drug Administration" in Turkish.

In order to export to the United States, you must have FDA certification.
